BIOGRAPHY
A native of Wisconsin, Heidi Hayes has maintained a thriving Philadelphia-area studio for over 20 years. Her New York City studio opened in December of 2013.
Passionate about arts education, Heidi is also on the staff of the Walnut Street Theatre School, has been a guest teaching artist for Ko-Nen Productions (Singapore) and was an Adjunct Lecturer at Muhlenberg College. Many of her students perform regularly on Broadway or Off-Broadway, as well as with organizations including Philadelphia's Walnut St. Theatre, Arden Theatre, Opera Philadelphia and Philly Pops. In addition to her work with classical and musical theatre singers, she has been a vocal consultant to a number of singer-songwriters, including Alex DiMattia, Christine Kinslow and Nora Whittaker.
A proud native of Wisconsin, Heidi holds music degrees from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, from which she received an Alumni Achievement Award in 2001. She is married to retired opera singer, Richard Johnson, and is the proud mother of University of Wisconsin - Madison student, Nicholas Johnson. The entire family is passionate about baseball and traveling the world.
